Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Benedetto P. Pellerito, MD, brings over 25 years of experience in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal health to Associated Orthopedists of Detroit PC, located in St. Clair Shores and Shelby Township, Michigan, serving patients throughout Macomb County.

Dr. Pellerito began his professional education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning his Bachelor of Science in cellular molecular biology.

​

After graduation, he decided to pursue a medical degree, enrolling at Michigan State University's (MSU) College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. While at MSU, Dr. Pellerito became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an elite medical honor society that elects its members.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Pellerito decided to augment his professional skills further, participating in a surgical internship at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, as well as a medical residency in orthopedic surgery.

Professionally, Dr. Pellerito holds membership in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, as well as Genesee County and Michigan State Medical Societies. Dr. Pellerito maintains staff privileges at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital - Clinton Township and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
